Experience Today, Excel Tomorrow.
When you walk through the door, you can feel it, the indescribable energy that comes from a place where every student is known, cared for and inspired to thrive in and out of the classroom. York Catholic is a private middle and high school where students in grades 7 through 12 are encouraged to break the mold and are empowered with the skills to be inspired learners, leaders and innovative thinkers. Success in college and beyond starts at York Catholic and we welcome the opportunity to show you what makes the journey so special.

The YC Impact
There’s no better way to get to know YC than to meet the people who help make the experience count.

Since I started at York Catholic, this school has given me countless opportunities to grow and explore my interests through art classes, editing and writing for our student-produced school newspaper, and our annual speech festival (where I participated alongside several other extremely talented students). Junior year, I was elected as student council president alongside one of my closest friends, Nate Gingerich, who I met at YC.

As the parents of 10 children, we have had the pleasure of having 5 of them graduate from York Catholic HS so far. We have lived in many places prior to settling in York, including Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina and even time in West Africa. Our favorite, by far, has been our time here in York. York Catholic has played a major role. It is a special place where students can grow and participate in a wide variety of activities and where values and morals can still be incorporated into the learning experience.
York Catholic is truly a family. Whether it was having meals made every day for 2 months after our babies were born, or friends helping get children to sporting events when we were torn in too many directions, the community lives up to the Catholic tradition of generosity and charity.

My philosophy on teaching encompasses the York Catholic mission by cultivating the pillars of faith, mind, heart, and family. The patron saint of the Academic Assistance Center program is Mary the Undoer of Knots. We all have some “knots” in our lives… and Mary can untie them! My commitment and dedication to Catholic teaching goes beyond the classroom. I have witnessed firsthand the power of a Catholic education through my own sons who attended York Catholic High School. Guided by a Christian moral compass, I will continue to educate our students in an atmosphere of faith, family, and mutual respect, preparing them to serve the global community.
